(Sarajevo, 16.10.2020.) – The Office of Disciplinary Counsel met yesterday with the representatives of the Office of the High Representative, OSCE Mission to BiH, European Union, and the embassies of the French Republic, Italian Republic, Kingdom of the Netherlands, United States of America and United Kingdom.

The representatives of the international community stressed the importance of functional independence of the Office of Disciplinary Counsel, which should be free from any attempts of external influence, and expressed their support for the work of the ODC so far, which was described as professional and courageous in the Expert Report on Rule of Law Issues in BiH.

The Chief Disciplinary Counsel and her Deputy thanked the representatives of the international community for understanding the importance of the work of the ODC and for their continued support to the ODC.

The international community will closely monitor disciplinary actions against judicial officials.
